Breakthrough development for the Earth Commons!

on Thu, 04/01/2010 - 08:00

Humankind is entering the era of its intentional evolution. We find a measure of that in the nascent legal framework for decisions about protecting its common assets, e.g.: the sky, the land, the oceans, indigenous culture and knowledge, technology, arts, universities, etc.

Working with the Commons Manifesto

on Mon, 03/29/2010 - 12:24

Regarding the Manifesto, my main interest is in how we can turn it into one of the strange attractors for the self-organizing collective intelligence and collective consciousness of the global commons movement.

Earth Commons Rising!

on Mon, 03/22/2010 - 08:00

"The commons is still an embryonic vision. It will require time to evolve. But it is a vision with great potential, perhaps because it is not being advanced by an intellectual elite or a political party, but by a hardy band of resourceful irregulars on the periphery of conventional politics. Transforming Capitalism

"The crisis of our time is not about financial or economic bankruptcy. The real crisis of our time is about an intellectual bankruptcy: the bankruptcy of mainstream economic thought. Just as the crumbling of the Berlin Wall in 1989 marked the end of one fundamentalist approach to society and the economy socialist state-centric fundamentalism the toppling of the Wall Street house of cards marks the end of another neoliberal market-centric fundamentalism." -- Otto Scharmer, from The Blind Spot of Economic Thought.
